Reporting to the Physician Assistant (PA) Director, the General Surgery/Trauma Physicians Assistant, under the supervision of the surgeon, performs advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tasks related to surgery and trauma. Acts as a first or second assistant in surgery. Participates in pre and post-operative patient care. Complies with all appropriate safety and infection control standards. Participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement/performance improvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned. The Medical Staff Bylaws and Title 16 of the California Administrative Code grant the PA�s privileges as outlined.

• CA State Physicians Assistant License granted by the Physician Assistant Examining Committee and DEA registration.

• 1+ years of experience preferred.

• Bachelors degree or equivalent, with completion of a Physicians Assistant course.
