Shelby offers a full range of services to meet the diverse needs of patients including fast, life-saving response times for patients with chest pain or stroke symptoms; cardiology, including specialized surgical services; orthopedics, including rehabilitation; and psychiatric care.

Citizens Baptist Medical Center: Located in Talladega provides acute medical and emergency care, including chest pain and stroke care; surgical services including minimally invasive surgery; orthopedics, including rehabilitation; and psychiatric care.

Walker Baptist Medical Center: Located in Jasper, this hospital provides acute medical and emergency care, and specializes in cardiology; orthopedics, including rehabilitation; psychiatric care; urology; and detox therapy.

Qualifications - External

Education

Required: graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program.

Certifications

Required: RCP or equivalent State licensure; CRT, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
Preferred: RRT
