Job Summary

Geisinger's Steele Institute for Health Innovation serves as the innovation “hub” for Geisinger. The Institute's purpose is to support Geisinger innovators and lead the nation in building transformative, scalable, measurable and sustainable solutions that improve health, care delivery, patient experience and lower costs. The Steele Institute for Health Innovation oversees the enterprise digital strategy. The digital strategy defines a foundational pivot from internally-focused operational improvements to externally-focused experiences for our consumers, patients and members. The digital strategy goes above and beyond to understand our consumers, making healthcare easier and more affordable, so they can live their healthiest life. The Senior UI/UX Designer will sit within the Digital Transformation Office, a cross-functional team that works across the organization to design, define and implement the digital strategy. They will be charged with assessing business requirements and client requests to propose and independently design and deliver digital solutions responsive to client business needs. They will provide in-house guidance and training on UI/UX best practices and incorporating and leading user design processes throughout the project(s) lifecycle to gather, measure, analyze, and verify design ideation goals are achieved.

Job Duties

Serves as User Experience steward, performs direct day-to-day strategy review to maximize clinical benefit and eliminate non-value-added work.
Leads design strategy and design think efforts for new projects to ensure alignment of project deliverables with fidelity metrics and other KPI's.
Creates conceptual wireframes and user flow diagrams to solidify design.
Designs and creates user interfaces that reflect minimal effort for interaction and adoption, as evidenced in fidelity metrics designated for each project.
Works closely with management and technology teams to ensure a consistent transition of user interface concept to prototype, to final product.
Establishes and leads application of digital design standards and UX design process management, coordinated with implementation strategy to ensure maximized adoption and overall benefit of the deliverable.
Provides mobile design and development best practices, incorporating branding standards, assisting in all client-approved projects requiring such branding, design, and development support.
Responsible for leading focus groups, user interviews, clinical observation, and other user research as necessary to develop the patient and clinician journey visualizations and overall UX design.
