This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. This position is located within Patient Care Service/Nursing Services/ Operations, VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS). VAPAHCS is a Level 1A major interdisciplinary teaching facility serving medical, surgical, mental health, and long-term care inpatients and outpatients with an Emergency Department and multiple community-based outpatient clinics (CBOC). The PTE Coordinator is clinically and administratively responsible to the Associate Director, Patient Care Services/Nurse Executive Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm; to meet the needs of the patient and program needs Financial Disclosure Report: Not required The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The Pathway to Excellence (PTE) Program Coordinator functions as a leader and facilitator in the implementation and sustainment of the PTE Program. Proficient in nursing and functions as a clinical leader, expeditor, educator, and consultant, utilizing management theory, change management and negotiations to successfully further develop the PTE standards. Responsible for or included in the management of performance improvement, customer service/patient satisfaction, patient and employee safety, and knowledge and application of accreditation and regulatory standards. Actively participates in unit/service/program/ Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN)/Veterans Administration Central Office (VACO) level quality improvement processes.
