The Controlled Substance Utilization and Diversion Prevention Director will provide leadership, oversight and coordination of corporate activities related to diversion prevention monitoring procedures and practices as well as direct activities to monitor controlled substance utilization. The Director will be responsible for development and maintenance of a comprehensive controlled substance surveillance program based on regulatory body requirements including but not limited to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and best practices. The Director will also create and execute a comprehensive program for diversion prevention and monitoring of dispensing practices, as well as format for event investigation, review and reporting when required. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for the implementation of controlled substance utilization criteria across the organization.
BS or PharmD
3-5 years experience in a pharmacy practice environment or a combination of related or equivalent experience.
3+ yearsâ�� experience conducting data analysis, auditing, related experience.
Working knowledge of controlled substance law.
Must be able to travel 50-75%.
