The incumbent will work as a member of the Medicine Service at the Tusla, OK clinic. Coordinates care for patients throughout the continuum of care to assure the care is timely, appropriate, of high quality and cost effective. Provide professional assessment, coordination and planning of multiple health care services. Provides ongoing evaluations of specialty care management services; works closely with the physicians of the service assigned to. Safely prescribes medications used in treatment of patients receiving inpatient care, to include blood/blood products. Incumbent is responsible and accountable for the continuous and comprehensive healthcare management of a broad range of specialty health services which include but are not limited to assisting the staff physicians in the following: promotion of health, prevention of illness and disability, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions/diseases, management of identified diagnoses during the acute and chronic condition phases of illness. The incumbent will document on all examinations performed in the patient's electronic medical record, screening patients and determining their needs for further health care. The incumbent will spend the majority of their clinic hours serving in the absence of the physician. Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
