Provides didactic and clinical instruction to groups of students according to regulatory and accreditation guidelines and academic standards. Prepares course syllabus according to School of Nursing guidelines. Participates in curriculum development and evaluation. Assists with the advisement of students and applicants. Responsible for ensuring the very best student nurse experience by optimizing all educational interaction.
Prepares course syllabus for all courses taught.
Prepares lesson plans for all didactic and clinical experiences.
Conducts classes, laboratory and clinical experiences.
Participates in faculty and student body committees and activities as assigned by the Director.
Assists potential students in the accurate and timely completion of applications and participates in the selection of students.
Monitors the student environment to assure students a clean, comfortable, orderly and safe environment conducive to learning.
Advises students and potential students.
Evaluates student performance fairly, accurately, in a timely fashion, and in accordance with School of Nursing grading policies.
Coordinates student's clinical experiences with appropriate clinical sites in accordance with clinical agreements arranged by the Director.
Attends and participates in educational activities, in-service training, and continuing education programs as required and and or beneficial to job performance.
Directs individual professional development through mentoring, coaching and education.
Provides direct supervision to students, assists with orientation and integration of new students.
