Texas Oncology is seeking qualified candidates for an exciting Certified Medical Physicist to join our Waco, TX Team! The successful candidate will be part of a physics group consisting of 12 physicists, a physics resident, and 17 dosimetrists covering eight facilities in the Central Texas region. This group supports 9 radiation oncologists in a busy practice setting. The position will primarily provide medical physics coverage for the Waco Cancer Center.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include:

• All aspects of radiation oncology physics, including quality assurance, external beam, and brachytherapy clinical support.
• The Waco clinic houses Varian 23iX and 21CD linacs, GammaMed Plus HDR, and busy SBRT and SRS programs. Treatment planning is performed in Eclipse.
• There are plans to replace the 21CD unit with a TrueBeam and replace the GammaMed with an Elekta HDR unit.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a:

• MS or PhD in Medical Physics or closely related field and board certification by the ABR.
• The position requires licensure in the state of Texas.
