Alliance Cancer Specialists, the largest community-based oncology practice in Northeastern PA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for their Chalfont location with some rotation to the Sellersville and Doylestown locations.

Responsibilities:
- Organizes and participates in the provision of direct patient care, administers medications, and educates patients and families/caregivers
- Obtains and clarifies physician orders for plan of treatment, revisions, and informs physician promptly of significant changes in patient's condition
- Provides effective and safe teaching using patient-centered care approach for patient and family to achieve independence with prescribed therapy and care needs through active participation per plan of treatment goals
- Effectively and timely communicates with Alliance's Clinical team, medical providers, patients, and families/caregivers to facilitate continuity of care
- Prepares clinical documentation in real-time during visits and submit to comply with established timelines for billing
- Screens patients for appropriate information on each visit, recording as per Alliance standards
- Responds promptly and appropriately to patient requests. Initiates emergency procedures as necessary
- Accurately calculates doses and validates patient's plan of treatment on each visit
- Phlebotomy and completion of lab work as per OSHA and universal precautions, reporting of abnormal values
- Initiate peripheral IVs, IV fluids and IV therapeutic medications as per LPN state practice act
- Stocks supplies and disposes all expired items
- Accepts accountability for own practice through ethical and professional conduct. Follows established programs and practice within policies and procedures reflective of Alliance Cancer Specialists' mission, values and objectives
- Observes legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary Alliance information including adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Attends and completes required training modules, in-services, and continuing education to maintain competency and professional licensure for demonstrated knowledge
- Must fully understand and comply with USP 800 and possible exposure to Hazardous Drugs
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate from an accredited school for practical nursing.
- At least 3 years experience as an LPN.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Current LPN state license and registration with the State Board of Practical Nursing in practicing state.
- Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
- Must be willing and able to travel to all 3 locations.
