Atlantic Health System is seeking candidates for a full-time Hospitalist NP position and join the Neuroscience team. In this role you will provide service to patients at Newton Medical Center and Hackettstown Medical Center.
Essential Job Functions:
The NP will work in conjunction with the attending physicians, medical/surgical consultants, and residents.
The NP will also work in the outpatient setting to ensure appropriate continuity of patients after discharge and to assist with outpatient neurology access.
The NP practice model encourages collaboration between disciplines to promote quality patient care, emphasizes education and the promotion of optimal health.
The NP will use critical thinking and best evidence practice, the role domains extend to: expert clinical practice, educational development, leadership /consultancy and research.
The NP will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

The NP must have excellent communication and computer skills.
1+ year(s) of inpatient experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
