Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Systems Analyst to join our MSL Clinical Documentation Team.

Unit/Position Summary: The Systems Analyst leads projects involving the installation and support of St. Luke's computer application systems by coordinating with vendor representatives, system users/clients, project team members, coworkers in Information Technology and management. May lead or participate in project teams in software selection, design and/or implementation of small to large and/or complex size projects. May lead or participate in project teams that deploy hardware to support St. Luke's processes. May provide on-going support for production systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
• Conducts analysis of system infrastructure, set-up and design to ensure business and end user needs are met.
• Prepares detailed program specifications and requirements, identifies required inputs, participates in the design, development, and testing of systems.
• Documents statements of work, project plans, or other forms of project documentation; translates into system specifications.
• Coordinates installation with the end user, tests configuration and recommends modifications to improve functionality, ensuring satisfactory results.
• Ensures data integration and communication between interrelated systems is functioning correctly and impact of system changes are evaluated.
• Acts as a liaison between the development-team and the end users.
• Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements, and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
• Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
• May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience: 2 years additional relevant experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: None
