Atlantic Health System is seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist to work in the Emergency Department at Morristown Medical Center, this is a full time day shift 9ap-5p no weekends, on call as required.
This is a research and education and evidence based practice implementation role. Clinical Role is as a an expert resource to the pediatric emergency clinical staff.
Provides skillful guidance and teaching to advance the care of patients, families, groups of patients, and/or the profession of nursing.
Identifies the clinical and professional development needs of nursing staff, plans, and provides education in area of expertise.
Collaborates with other disciplines in consultation, teaching, management, and research activities to improve outcomes in nursing practice and enhance the healthcare environment.
Provides system level leadership with the ability to manage change and empower others to influence clinical practice within and across systems.
Practices in policy writing and performance improvement activities as related to area of specialization and or unit.
Identifies and participates in opportunities to share skills, knowledge, and strategies for patient care and system improvement with colleagues and other healthcare providers.
Participates in evidence-based practice/ research.
Masters degree required
Valid New Jersey Nursing License required
3-4 years of experience preferred
