Registered Nurse - Utilization Management Inpatient Care Coordinator (UMICC)
The Utilization Management Inpatient Care Coordinator (UMICC) will function independently as a Utilization Management Nurse and a Case Manager and is supervised by the Deputy Chief, Quality Management within the Office of Quality Management & Performance Improvement. The management practice of the UMICC is based on knowledge, experience, and research and has a direct impact on patient outcomes in the facility and nursing practice. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English. Graduate
